Clarity in Complexity

The Cost of “It Could Have Been”

“Fabiana, it could have been.”

This is one of the most limiting sentences we can tell ourselves. No matter what comes before or after the sentence, it carries a heavy weight.

“It could have been, but I didn’t take the risk.”

This sentence is usually loaded with guilt, regret, and a quiet sadness.

There is no real benefit in staying stuck in what could have happened if you had acted.

You did not. And reality simply is.

Is this a lack of empathy? No. It is a call from your future self, asking you to fully step into your greatness and your capacity.

Every time we resist reality, we lose.

So I invite you to walk with reality.

Acknowledge what it is. Observe whether it serves you. If it does, continue. If it does not, change direction, it is as simple as that.

Your power is always in the present moment. Every moment offers a new choice. A small adjustment. A two millimeter shift that can completely change your trajectory.

Do not delay any longer.

Your future self has already figured it out. There is always a simple solution to any complex problem.

As we close the year, there is almost certainly at least one area of your life that did not unfold the way you hoped.

If there are many, choose one. The one that challenges you the most and asks the most from you.

Once you identify it, decide now what you can begin doing today and next year to move forward.

Keep it small. A baby step. Just begin.

Show up for yourself. Trust the process.

Your future self is already grateful.
